We approach problems with creativity and innovation. The Gladstone, MI office of Schnabel Engineering is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing practice. We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the growth of a sub-business unit in the field of mining design and construction to serve new and existing clients in our target market areas
• Serve as a leader in support of our existing mining and civil teams
• Strengthen the firm’s existing mining capabilities
• Increase cross-selling opportunities across business units

Required Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mining, geotechnical or civil engineering design and construction, and a minimum of 5 years experience in underground mining
• Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain licensure within 1 year
• Underground MSHA Trained

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Managerial/mentoring experience
• Experience with project management software (such as Deltek VantagePoint)
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint software
• Experience in mine design and CAD software

Other Requirements:

• Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment screening

The compensation range for a Senior Engineer is between $83,386 to $133,355. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
