The Department of Facilities Management is seeking an evening/night shift Systems Control Operator to remotely monitor and manage critical systems across the University, including building fire alarms and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems.
The Systems Control Operator plays a key role in responding to both emergency and non-emergency situations, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and integrity of building automation, energy management, and fire and life safety systems.
This position requires strong decision-making skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and the ability to work independently while keeping supervisors informed of any significant issues
Key Responsibilities:
Instruct, guide, and train Systems Control Assistants in Control Center operations.
Work independently but immediately escalate critical issues or system malfunctions to the supervisor.
Receive and prioritize work requests and dispatch responders accordingly.
Ensure that all system issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date reports, logs, and records of shift activities, ensuring all documentation is clear, legible, and complete..
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Two years of experience in analyzing and troubleshooting technical systems.
Licensure: None.
