PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT
The Project Superintendent is responsible for supervising the field construction of our projects and completing the work on schedule, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful Project Superintendent understands our clients objectives, exceeds their expectations, and protects and promotes the Companys interests at all times. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will uphold the companys unmatched consistency in delivering successful projects with extraordinary levels of quality and customer service.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership, establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships amongst the on-site staff, and promote positive project morale.
Attain a thorough and complete understanding of the General Contract, each subcontract, the drawings, and specifications. Proactively identify design deficiencies, constructability issues, code violations, and other issues.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop, refine, and update project schedules to ensure all milestones are identified and tracked. Consistently communicate sequence and schedule updates to all subcontractors and vendors.
Own all aspects of the job site: coordinate, schedule, direct, monitor and inspect all activities of the subcontractors, suppliers, labor and material.
Oversee project startup including mobilization of all work-related manpower, work hours, material, equipment, dumpsters, port-a-cans, and property requirements.
Meet or exceed ADA/OSHA safety standards with daily monitoring and enforcement of job site safety. Ensure that subcontractors regularly communicate and enforce their safety programs. Maintain posted required safety and other notices on site at all times.
Track deliveries of materials and verify onsite for inventory, quantity and quality.
Review the subcontractors daily progress of work completed and deliver daily reports with photos to the project team.
Attend all pre-construction, kick-off, client, OAC, and other meetings and required inspections throughout project.
Establish and maintain relationships with all inspectors and effect remedial actions as indicated by the reports of respective agencies.
Consistently lead projects through comprehensive completion by establishing aggressive pre-punch and punch list dates and schedules.
Proactively identify and solve problems to minimize risk.
Provide a Daily Log of the scope of project that is being done
Perform other duties as assigned.
