A small, expanding property management company in Victoria, BC is looking for a reliable, skilled, and motivated Live-Out Building Manager / Handyman / Maintenance Technician for a full-time, permanent position.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Wage: $25$35/hour (commensurate with experience & performance)
Probationary period starts at a lower rate

About the Role:
Youll work closely with our Maintenance Division to help maintain and improve properties across the Victoria area. Theres potential to advance into a Maintenance Manager role as the company grows.
We value fast learners, problem-solvers, and people who can spot and fix issues independently while maintaining high standards. This is a dynamic role requiring hands-on skills and a team-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
(Training will be provided in areas youre less experienced in)
General building repairs and suite turnover maintenance
Light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
-- Basic Appliance diagnostics or repair
Routine inspections and responding to tenant repair requests
Exterior maintenance: landscaping, power washing, leaf blowing, weeding etc.
Cleaning and maintaining common areas
Preparing units for new tenants
Showing available units and assisting with lease applications
Coordinating small renovation projects
Using software to manage repair logs and task scheduling
Maintaining inventory of tools and supplies
Following building safety and cleanliness protocols

What Were Looking For:
Experience in building maintenance, construction, or similar work
Attention to detail in building maintenance, cleaning and work carried out.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills - willing to learn and to research your own solutions.
Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, or HVAC is an asset
Ability to work efficiently both independently and with a team
Strong organizational and communication skills
Tech-savvy enough to use repair management software -- Using Iphones - tablets and Mac Apple Computers.
Problem-solver who takes initiative and thinks ahead
Able to lift/move equipment and perform physical tasks
A sense of humour and a positive attitude are essential!
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and treats our properties like their own
When you leave the property you always leave it better than when you arrived and you have communicated to the Property Manger or the office items of concern that need attention

Bonus (but not required):
Experience in tenant relations or leasing
Bilingual (English/Spanish or English). List the languages you speak
Previous supervision/project management experience
Strong Mac Apple Skills especially iPhone - or must learn this environment quickly and on your own time.
Work with Facilities Software to track jobs
