Torch Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our integration team within our TMAS2 contract effort.
This position requires a highly motivated individual with mechanical engineering experience. Position description is below:
Evaluate contractor proposals for executable plans for major refurbishment and conversion of B-52 pylons and rotary launchers in support of new missile program.
Manage and technically evaluate changes to design and production documentation.
Analyze and inspect components for structural integrity and corrosion.
Review and provide recommended changes to drawing packages.
Review and evaluate mechanically-oriented program and production process documentation and quality standards.
Evaluate production Validation and Verification and test plans.
Recommend suitable substitutions for obsolete parts and evaluate deviations and variations to approved documentation.
Must have a Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline.
Must possess 2 years' experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have an active SECRET DoD security clearance.
Must be eligible for a TOP SECRET clearance.
Preferred Skills:
BS degree with 3 years' experience in engineering capacity, specifically integration
Active Top Secret clearance is desired
Additional Notes
This position requires candidates to possess a current SECRET security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to maintain a SECRET security clearance will result in a candidate being ineligible for this position. This requirement is a condition of employment and must be maintained throughout tenure.
This position is located at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
