Our client in Thunder Bay is looking for a Construction Superintendent to join their team across heavy civil projects. This full-time position is ideal for someone with a passion for construction, a strong foundation in project supervision and, and the desire to build a long-term career in the field.

Responsibilities
Coordinate, schedule, supervise, and lead all onsite activities for heavy civil construction projects
Monitor project progress, maintain requisite documentation/records, and coordinate with project manager regarding relevant issues and project progression
Interpret contract drawings, specifications and correspondence
Collaborate with project managers to ensure project goals are achieved
Coordinate and supervise relevant subcontractors, trades, and external suppliers
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards, and environmental regulations
Daily quantity/production and cost reporting to direct supervisors and senior management, as required
Qualifications
5+ years experience managing heavy civil construction projects of varying scale and scope
Specific experience with asphalt paving, grading, traffic control, and pipe installations is required
Strong working knowledge of construction process, OPSS specifications, OTM Book 7, and other relevant construction manuals
Experience with GPS and elevation layout equipment is an asset
Experience with equipment operation is an asset
