Powder Coat Painter - First Shift Job Description We are seeking a skilled Powder Coat Painter to join our team on the first shift. As a Powder Coat Painter, you will be responsible for performing pre-treatment, including testing and maintenance of chemicals, powder painting surfaces, parts, and products manually or through automation according to work instructions and quality standards. You will also set up and run paint equipment, solve equipment problems, assist with in-process audits, coordinate product hanging, and communicate paint-line performance and maintenance issues. Responsibilities Perform pre-treatment, testing, and maintenance of chemicals. Powder paint surfaces, parts, and products manually and automated according to work instructions and quality standards. Set up and operate paint equipment and troubleshoot any equipment issues. Assist with in-process audits to ensure product requirement accuracy. Coordinate the proper product hanging process. Assist with remake and repaint scheduling. Communicate and escalate paint-line performance, maintenance, and product requirement issues. Essential Skills 1-4 years of experience in Powder Coat Painting. Proficiency with spray guns and paint booths. Experience in industrial painting and spray painting techniques. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of paint preparation and powder coating processes. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will be working in a larger facility with 400 employees across three shifts. The first shift is from 4 am to 2 pm, Monday through Thursday, with additional hours on Fridays and some Saturdays. Expect to work 50+ hours through September, with a busy schedule anticipated through Q3. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $44720.00 - $47840.00/yr. Growing rapidly as they diversify nicely into different industries: College and pro locker rooms, government, police stations, military, schools, grow industry. Growth opps to move up quickly into a Machine Op 2 that comes with a $1.50 raise Employee owned Direct placement Competitive benefits and insurance. 8 week training and a 90 day review Annual raises: 2-4% Goal sharing: monthly incentive based off of efficiency, delivery, safety and scrap.
