What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Document all activities on site during duration of the contract and prepare inspection reports.
• Oversee, document, review, and assess contractor's compliance with contractual requirements.
• Review construction documents and drawings in order to minimize issues and to reduce the potential for extra work orders during construction.
• Take accurate and detailed measurements of all work performed by the contractor to ensure accurate payments.
• Assist the Project Administrator with the review of contract submissions (critical path schedules, RFI's etc)
• Assist the project Administrator with staff scheduling/coordination.
• Attend progress meeting and provide feedback on ongoing construction and issues.
• Supervision of Junior inspector.
• Inspection and testing of soils, concrete, steel and masonry materials for road and bridge projects. Experience with FDOT construction and specifications desired.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Observing general job safety practices.
• Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control in accordance with contract documents.
• The ability to work as a team a plus.
• Possibility of weekend and evening work as dictated by contract.

What your experience looks like

• High School diploma or equivalent plus (10) years of experience in construction inspection, five (5) years of which shall have been in bridge/or roadway construction inspection.
• Valid driver's license
• ACI Certification
• OSHA Certification
• In addition to the position skills and experience requirements (Teamwork, leadership, Communication) are essential in order to deliver an A plus product to are client.

The pay range for this role is $75 to $81 an hour Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
