Project Engineer
Deceuninck is seeking a Project Engineer for the Monroe, Ohio facility. The Project Engineer is responsible for leading and supporting capital projects, process improvements, and equipment installations in a manufacturing environment. The role ensures projects are executed effectively, meeting technical specifications, safety standards, and production goals while minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
Core Responsibilities:
- Plans, coordinates, and manages engineering projects from concept through completion.
- Leads the installation, commissioning, and optimization of manufacturing lines and auxiliary equipment.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality and safety to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develops project scopes, timelines, budgets and resource plans for capital investments and process improvements.
- Identifies opportunities for continues improvement in the extrusion process, material flow, tooling, an energy use.
- Ensures all engineering activities comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policy.
- Maintains up-to-date documentation, including drawings, SOP's, maintenance manuals and project records
- Supports troubleshooting of equipment and processes, provides engineering solutions to production challenges.
- Provides technical support and training to operations and maintenance staff.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience with engineering in a manufacturing facility
- Good knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines following OSHA compliance
- CAD or related software's
- Excellent problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related discipline
- Project Management Certification preferred
