Senior Superintendent

Job Description

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Reports to: Field Operations Manager

Review Date: January 27, 2025

Salary Range: 101,775.00 - 152,662.00

Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for providing direct supervision and oversight to assigned Superintendents in addition to managing projects that are $25 million or more.

Essential Functions

  • Lead, develop, mentor and coach superintendents.
  • Manage multiple projects, superintendents, and/or single large-scale complex project.
  • Monitor project schedule, safety, and quality to ensure all contractual requirements are achieved in accordance with contract documents, master schedule, and best practices.
  • Work in collaboration with the Project Manager and Field Operations Manager on all projects to ensure work completion in accordance with the project APP, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop, monitor, and execute schedules, productivity innovations, site logistics while providing oversite construction means and methods.
  • Assess project production to identify areas of inefficiency, and implement changes as required based on best practices.
  • Monitor cost control, forecasting, and productivity for General Conditions.
  • Collaborate with Field Operations Manager and Superintendent for required manpower, materials and equipment utilizing best practices.
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental and quality standards, and policies.
  • Hold monthly safety training meeting.
  • Collaborate with Field Operations Manager, Project Manager and Superintendent to create site specific utilization plans and procedures.
  • Participate in inter-project analysis and production audits.
  • Collaborate in developing operational procedures, policies, and strategies for the organization.
  • Collaborate with Field Operations Manager and Senior Superintendents in the selection of field personnel.
  • Review and approve project close-out activities including final inspections, deficiencies, and warranty work.

Education and Experience

10+ years of progressive construction supervisory experience (Required)

15 + years of progressive construction supervisory experience (Preferred)

Training

Currently be certified or obtain certification within 30 days of employment and maintain current certifications related to this position.
