Facility Supervisor (FA0723 - East)

Supervise and perform all functional aspects related to the upkeep and operations of assigned clinic facility to include maintenance and housekeeping; provide supervision, training, and mentoring of staff; Serve as the Safety Officer for clinic site; provides project management support services and consultation as directed by Facility Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for the overall facility maintenance, custodian and security of the clinic site and grounds keeping ensuring that all facility licenses (i.e. elevator, fire alarm, backflow prevention, security system, etc.) are maintained in compliance with City code and Joint Commission.; Performs daily internal and external facilities inspection for safety, cleanliness, hazards, etc. to include doors, wall, floors, and furnishings; Schedules preventative maintenance for utility systems as needed; responsible 24/7 for responses to fire and burglar alarm systems.

2. Supervises maintenance, custodial and transportation personnel (if applicable) to include recommendations for recruiting and dismissing; performs timely performance evaluations, recommends merit increases and salary adjustments, provides training, work allocation and problem solving. Oversees and coordinates all routine, day to day practice, and support services to include monitoring staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.

3. Ensures that all equipment licenses are in place and current; performs daily internal and external equipment inspection for safety, cleanliness, hazards, etc.; ensures adequate facility equipment and vehicle maintenance are performed on a routine basis; schedules preventative maintenance for medical/dental equipment.

4. Responsible for ensuring that preventive maintenance contracts are in place i.e. air conditioning/heating units, fire alarm, etc.; ensures that inspections are performed on equipment and facilities as required to be in compliant with all regulatory agencies.

5. Serves as the clinic site Safety Officer and supervises day-to-day execution of the Environment of Care Safety management plans; conducts on-going surveillance of the facilities, grounds, and equipment; work collaboratively with various department manager to conduct quarterly hazard surveillance and risk assessment inspections; identifies and arranges for a resolution of all potential hazards reported; coordinates and conducts quarterly fire and bi-annual disaster drills; educates staff and enforces safety measures of workers at all time.

6. Coordinates work details with contractors/vendors on projects for clinic site.

7. Provides excellent internal/external customer service.

8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED

At least three (3) years of facility maintenance supervisory experience required

Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office computer programs

Knowledgeable in contract review process

Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations

Ability to interpret building blueprints

Ability to use various tools to perform duties

Bilingual English / Spanish preferred

Scheduled hours and/or work locations are subject to change

Ability to travel using personal vehicle

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Finger Dexterity: Using fingers to make small movements such as spraying or picking up small objects.

Talking: Frequently conveying detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, clearly, or quickly.

Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information; hear whispered voice at five (5) feet.

Repetitive Motions: Frequently and regularly using the wrists, hands, and fingers.

Visual: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or other materials.

Physical: Walking, standing for extended periods of time. Climbing stairs/ladders; crouching or crawling during custodial maintenance activities. May have to lift, pull, push heaving equipment, and other such items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs.

Mental: Able to repeat (3) object asked to remember; and copy the following drawing
