Job Description

Preferred Location: East Coast or Midwest, USA (Remote possible with regular travel)

Internal Title: Segment Manager Plastics

Department: Waste Emerging Segments (Sales)

We're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our Plastics segment across North America. This is a key role in TOMRA's plastics recycling segment, focused on market development and technical-commercial leadership for flake sorting products (AUTOSORT, INNERFLAKE).

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for the North American Plastics segment.
  • Support local sales teams with insights on applications, pricing, competitors, and winning tactics.
  • Identify new opportunities and market sub-segments; actively scout and generate leads.
  • Create customized proposals and lead commercial negotiations with customers.
  • Own and manage your sales budget and KPIs for the assigned region.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management via CRM systems.
  • Provide ongoing reporting to the Global Segment Director on pipeline, trends, and market intelligence.
  • Represent TOMRA at industry events, customer sites, and conferences.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales or business development experience, ideally in industrial equipment, plastics, or recycling sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Understanding of sorting technologies, plastic materials, and recycling processes.
  • Strong technical acumen; familiarity with sensor technologies, NIR/Visible spectroscopy, and machine vision systems is a plus.
  • A well-developed network within the plastics or recycling industry.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70%, both domestically and internationally.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Pay Band

For U.S. applicants, in accordance with applicable disclosure requirements, the anticipated annual base pay range for the P&O Business Partner position is $100,000 - $120,000. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. As with certain positions in the organization, this role is eligible for additional forms of compensation.
