What You'll Do
As a Quality Supervisor, you'll lead quality assurance activities and technicians on the manufacturing floor and act as a key liaison between quality teams and operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Data & Reporting: Define, collect, interpret, and present quality-related data in Tier II and Tier III meetings.
- Issue Escalation: Identify and escalate quality concerns promptly through appropriate channels.
- Technical Expertise: Understand, advise, and elevate findings from advanced inspection tools (e.g., CMM, Keyence, IM, MTS, X-Rite, Flex) and processes (e.g., product inspections, raw material evaluations).
- Product Evaluation: Make accurate pass/fail decisions based on specifications and business needs.
- Hold & Claim Management: Assist with product quality holds and customer claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Documentation & Analysis: Maintain spreadsheets and documents to support operational quality goals.
- Quality Audits: Lead audits on:
- Color/Streaker compliance
- First-Off Approval, Line Standards, Gauging, Instruments
- BOPs/Home Depot standards
- FIFO material tracking and packaging/labeling accuracy
- CMM/Flexural sampling and X-Rite data reporting
- Line Walks & Gemba: Conduct quality compliance walks with Operations Leadership, focusing on visual, dimensional, and procedural adherence.
- Training & Development: Support the onboarding and continued development of Quality and Production Technicians.
- Leadership: Manage and approve time for quality staff; deliver performance evaluations and corrective actions as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Investigate customer complaints, collaborate across teams, and help implement process enhancements.
- Communication: Share and educate teams on Quality Alerts, updated standards, and compliance expectations.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree (in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred)
- Experience: 6+ years in a manufacturing environment with leadership exposure
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Minitab, MS Office, and quality databases (e.g., Quality Windows)
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong judgment and analytical problem-solving
- Accountability and integrity in decision-making
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and build consensus
- Project and time management skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The annual salary for this position is $65,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. The pay for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
