Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic. This role involves operating machinery to process metal according to customer orders and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication and a history in aerospace operations. Responsibilities Operate and maintain band saws for cutting steel. Operate a sit-down forklift efficiently. Read and interpret tape measures accurately. Perform visual quality control checks on processed materials. Accurately process materials according to work order specifications. Maintain processing equipment in a safe and clean condition. Keep the processing area clean, safe, and orderly. Complete all required information entry with precision. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Essential Skills Experience using a band saw and cutting steel. Ability to operate a sit-down forklift. Proficiency in reading tape measures. Attention to detail in quality control processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong attendance and work history. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment. Ability to work on your feet and handle paperwork efficiently. Understanding of chain of custody procedures. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a large raw material supplier facility that stores, cuts, and ships products to customers. The environment is fast-paced with over 60 employees on the floor. Enjoy a structured shift schedule with differential pay for second and third shifts. The facility is located in Auburn, WA with specific shift timings and pay rates. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25/hr.
