CRP Industries Inc. seeks a Senior Product Design Engineer in Cranbury, NJ.Duties: Product Design: Lead various stages of Product Development and Operations lifecycle, encompassing Reverse Engineering, Concept Design, GD&T Analysis, Prototyping, Mechanical and Functional testing, and Quality Management. Utilize advanced technologies for DFX (Design for Excellence) improvements aimed at optimizing existing designs and processes. Perform material, dimensional, and operational analysis of industrial and automotive components related to vehicle systems. Design proprietary tooling and fixtures for concept prototyping, testing, and production in support of repair solutions for components within the remanufacturing of vehicle systems. Implement product specifications based on component analysis acquired during research and development of vehicle systems. Develop vehicle system testing specifications to confirm the long-term durability of various remanufacturing processes. Utilize vehicle systems experience to develop operational specifications that meet performance requirements. Collaborate with domestic and international suppliers for component sourcing including Supplier identification, management, and validation of product quality. Develop comprehensive specifications and work instructions for the production facility. Identify and resolve production issues and implement corrective actions. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for new proposals and project review management meetings. Research and Development: Research and innovate new products for future application projects. Pioneering the development of advanced testing and repair solutions for mechanical and electrical engineering applications. 3D Printing of critical components and test tools for design validation. Drive design for additive manufacturing enhancements to harness 3D printing capabilities. Manage and maintain in-house 3D printing equipment. Lead the development of advanced metal additive manufacturing applications for the production and repair of highcritical components. Conduct metallurgical research to analyze the material and thermal effects on the wear of variable geometry turbochargers. Identify the effects of microstructure and micro-surface imperfections of materials to expand the service life of variable geometry turbochargers. Requires a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent) and 2 years of experience in the job offered, Engineer, Intern, or related occupation. Position also requires experience in each of the following skills: 1. Mechanical Product Design and CAD 2. Additive Manufacturing / 3D Printing 3. Industrial Manufacturing: Production and Quality 4. Automotive System / Product development 5. Advanced Mechanical Testing and Repair Technologies.
