While reporting to the Senior Manager, IPP Supply Chain Operations, you will be responsible for the creation and execution of Master Production Plans across multiple IPP plants and lines. You will be a key player in continuous improvement, efficiency and strategic production planning . The role balances:

  • SERVICE (on time to promised delivery)
  • CASH (inventory management)
  • COST (optimized loading of plant)

This position will be an integral part of the IPP NA Supply Chain team and will work collaboratively with the Commercial, Operations, Finance and IPP Plant teams to optimize capacity throughout the network.

What youll be doing:

  • This position is designed as a multi-site Master Production Planner and supports the IPP NA Supply Chain Strategy for unlocking integrated value throughout the division. This role will be an active member of the IPP NA Supply Chain team.
  • Optimize production by assessing new and existing volume to determine the best fit production location, considering plant capacity, capabilities, freight, quality and cost. Make or recommend revisions to master production plan and lead communication between sales, manufacturing, customer service, logistics, supply chain, etc.
  • Assist in the initial creation and development of a Master Planning process using Oracle Fusion Supply Chain Management.
  • Responsible for Master Production Scheduling for assigned IPP plants. (10 or more plants / 20 to 25 production lines)
  • Point role for item data integrity, creation and maintenance as well as ownership of all Master Production Planning data product families (campaigns), time fences, lead time, min/max, safety stock, quantity parameters, etc. The standardization and accuracy of this data will be used to drive smart, informed supply chain strategies and volume optimization plans.
  • Develop plans to achieve optimum inventory levels, maximum productivity, maximum customer service levels, and minimum overtime. Master plans will include capacity planning, workforce planning, and inventory planning.
  • Develop KPIs to track and monitor production schedules for adherence to supply plans. Help plants with resolutions on variances to plan.
  • Lead projects to drive efficiency, create and improve processes throughout the IPP Supply Chain. Tracking production performance, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions for supply chain driven inefficiencies will be key inputs for this process. Example: high changeovers, rush orders, inefficient order quantities, and underutilized equipment.
  • Work as part of an integrated team with other Material Replenishment Planners, Master Schedulers, and Detailed Schedulers to achieve integrated, low-cost supply of materials and optimum production runs for IPP NA.
  • Effectively and timely communicate and elevate any issues that impact a plants production schedules and/or customer delivery performance.
  • Collaborate and communicate with sales, manufacturing, engineering, customer service, logistics and supply chain, acting as a bridge to ensure seamless change management and operations.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Ideally candidates would have an educational background in supply chain management, business, or related fields.
  • This position should be considered a developmental position for future supply chain, logistics, supply management, operating excellence, or production planning leadership positions.
  • This person must have a very high-level attention to detail and be able to quickly and effectively identify and resolve master production scheduling issues.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (verbally and written) to all Master Production Scheduling stakeholders.
  • This person will be expected to work closely with the Supply Chain Planning and Supply Chain Execution teams.
  • This person will be expected to work closely with Plant Production Schedulers and should be considered a Production Scheduling SME.
  • Must have the capability to extract data from data warehouses, SonoBIS, Oracle, and other systems to conduct analysis.
  • This person should possess or be willing to pursue important Supply Chain certifications, like APICS CPIM and APICS CSCP.
  • Manufacturing process, materials planning, capacity planning, production planning experience preferred.
  • Logility APS experience is a plus.

  • Five or more years of experience in related work areas.
  • Supply Chain, Demand Management, or other certifications are a plus.

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this role is from $135,920 to $152,910, plus an annual target bonus of 12.5% of base salary.

25% travel required

Preferred to be in Hartsville or within your supported region.
