Duties include drive and operate farm machinery such as tractors and combines to perform farm activities such as planting, cultivation, harvesting of crops. Workers will drive tractors installed with GPS and operate designated towing eqiupment , drills, disk, and drags to furrow and prepare the soil, seed and fertilize. They will transport materials, supplies or crops to designated locations. All cargo hauled will be property of the employer so no commercial hauling will be done. Routine maintenance will be done on all equipment , structures & grounds and may include snow removal. Workers must be able to work independently after being given instructions and must be team players when needed.
Requirments:-
- Employees have a valid drivers license or obtain one in 30 days.
- Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls only. -NO TEXTING-
- No smoking in equipment, vehicles, housing or grounds.
- No drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours and otherwise discouraged.
- Must be able to read, understand and speak English for record-keeping and safety reasons.
- No Educational level is required.
- Must have three months of tractor driving installed with GPS and towed implements.
- Operate and understand computerized monitors.
In view of the statutorily established basic function of the Employment Service (ES) as a no-fee labor exchange that is as a forum for bringing together employers and job seekers, neither the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) nor the State Workforce Agencies (SWA) are guarantors of the accuracy or truthfulness of information contained on job orders submitted by employers.
