MaxPak, a TRG company and affiliate of Schwarz Partners, currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Maintenance Technician - Class A (2nd Shift) in Lakeland, FL! As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot, install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on our industrial equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Preventive Maintenance on the fire protection system - operate and test
Ability to install new branch in the fire protection system
Perform all rigging required
Assist in machine installation and planning
Perform machine rebuilds on all equipment routinely rebuilt on site
Read and interpret layout diagrams, common symbols, legend, and interpret title information (Note: Knowledge only and not practicable application)
Locate and operate utility shut-offs
Assist in machine installation and assist in major equipment installation
Rebuild simple equipment with direction
Pipe fit on high-pressure and low-pressure lines
Fabricate machine guards and machine components from prints and/or drawings
Troubleshoot equipment, identify faulty components and determine whether electrical or mechanical problems
Perform minor building repairs
Operate all machine shop equipment efficiently and safely
Perform preventative maintenance
Perform mechanical repairs on production machinery
Perform cutting & welding on castings and dissimilar and nonferrous materials
Regular and predictable attendance
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILIITIES:
Ability to read prints (wiring diagrams)
Ability to perform A/C motor troubleshooting
Ability to perform electrical installations
Ability to troubleshoot control circuits
Ability to demonstrate technique (splicing, box installation, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret instructions in written or verbal form including operating and maintenance instructions, work instructions, written policies and procedures, and procedure manuals
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees of the company
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate
Ability to solve practical problems and not so practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Requires strong mathematical skills using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Must be able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED
At-least 2-3 years of industrial maintenance/relevant experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Prior work experience in the corrugated industry
Industrial Maintenance Certifications / Programs / Training
