Mechanic Electrician Maintenance

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic at our Longview manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, or replacing mechanical equipment or mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical devices and components in our pouring department. Additionally, the Mechanic will often fabricate any mechanical devices or items which will requiring shop skills or tools as requested. The successful candidate will communicate continuously with department managers and employees to coordinate mechanical equipment and repairs. Additional responsibilities of the Maintenance, Mechanic: Responsibilities: Ability to replace and rebuild pumps for pouring Ability to repair overhead cranes Must have flexible schedule based on pouring needs Knowledge of conveyor systems and components, belts, bearing, sprockets, gear reducers and repair Hand tool knowledge, welding, cutting, minor fabrication Timely communication of problems and issues affecting plant performance to management Demonstrate the ability to perform work independently (work alone) Ability to maintain inventory of pouring station parts Communicate with and maintain a team-based attitude with fellow co-workers and managers Document calibration and configuration procedures required to allow production equipment to run efficiently within product specifications Requirements and Experience Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment. 2+ years in industrial maintenance is highly preferred with some mechanical background. Good communication and advanced math skills. Ability to operate a genie boom, and scissor lift. Ability to read and interpret a tape measure. Must possess a variety of personally owned industrial hand tools. Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and call-in with little notice.
