Position: TIG Welder

Shift: 1 Hours: 7AM-4:00PM

Type: Full-Time | Mode: Direct Placement

Pay Scale: $25-30hr | Industry: Manufacturing

Responsible for preparing, performing, and finishing GTAW (TIG) and GMAW-P (MIG Pulse) welds to manufacture products in line with blueprints and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Weld stainless steel components (304 & 316) using TIG or MIG Pulse processes.

Interpret and work from drawings, blueprints, sketches, specifications, and tolerance requirements.

Perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

Monitor fitting, burning, and welding to prevent overheating, warping, shrinking, or distortion.

Set up and operate hand and power tools, including angle grinders, TIG welders, and MIG welders.

Select appropriate filler rods based on base metal specifications.

Prepare workpieces by grinding or cutting edges to ensure proper fit.

Identify equipment malfunctions or defective materials.

Consistently follow safety procedures and comply with OSHA standards.

Adapt to changing duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Welding certifications preferred.

Minimum 3 years of GTAW & GMAW-P welding experience and blueprint reading.

Experience with modular fixturing is a plus.

Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.

Works effectively with minimal supervision.

Quick learner with a drive to advance skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Must use required PPE (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, etc.).

Physical Requirements

Frequent sitting, standing, twisting, bending, and repetitive hand/wrist movements.

Occasional walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and overhead reaching.

Regularly lift and carry up to 10 lbs; frequently up to 50 lbs; occasionally over 50 lbs.

Occasional pushing/pulling of various weights.

Continuous simple grasping, fine manipulation, and tool use; occasional gross grasping.
