Position Summary
The
Construction Site Manager
is responsible for overseeing on-site activities to ensure work is performed in alignment with project requirements. This role will also manage the implementation of site-specific work plans, quality assurance/quality control processes, and health and safety procedures. This position is based in the greater Michigan area.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily field operations in collaboration with the Project Manager, including forecasting and planning activities.
Manage on-site activities, resources, and schedules to align with project objectives.
Review upcoming work, active progress, and project documentation for compliance with client expectations.
Oversee receipt and acceptance of materials and supplies.
Maintain accurate as-built documentation.
Identify, document, and communicate potential changes in scope, schedule, or costs, including preparing Requests for Information (RFIs).
Monitor and enforce quality control measures and site safety requirements consistently.
Interpret and apply construction drawings and specifications effectively.
Maintain strict adherence to project schedules and deadlines.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing multi-trade or multi-discipline construction activities.
At least 3 years of experience working on design/build construction projects.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and with high-quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience with government or regulated construction projects.
Certifications or training in CPR/First Aid, OSHA 30, and Quality Control (preferred but not required).
