Mechanical Technician Job Description The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in using hand tools. Familiarity with engines and supporting systems, such as coolant, DEF components, hoses, and wiring connectors, is necessary. This position supports the Cab Set Team, with responsibilities including 'Cab & Chassis prep' just prior to setting the cab. Responsibilities Perform 'Cab & Chassis prep' tasks prior to setting the cab. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints for mechanical assembly. Work collaboratively within a team environment. Communicate professionally and follow directions accurately. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude with 2+ years of experience. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, including drills, screw guns, and caulk guns, with 2+ years of experience. Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in mechanical assembly and general labor. Familiarity with electrical components and systems. Why Work Here? The work environment includes frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing ladders, with the ability to lift 40lbs. Employees are part of a team. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, Michigan. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.20 - $18.20/hr.
