What Youll Do as an Electrical Engineer

Under the mentorship of a Senior Electrical Engineer:

  • Design complete photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) packages, including AC/DC single-line diagrams, conduit and feeder schedules, layout plans, grounding diagrams, and electrical calculations.
  • Perform key system analyses, including load analysis, energy production modeling, system sizing, and equipment specification.
  • Support the utility interconnection process and ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA).
  • Coordinate with external partners to assist in power system studies including short circuit, cable ampacity/thermal, protection coordination, and arc flash analysis.
  • Work closely with civil, structural, and environmental teams to ensure seamless, integrated project delivery across disciplines.

Salary Range $72,000-130,000

Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. Requirements

What You Bring, Your Expertise as an Electrical Engineer

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or related field. Electrical Engineering is a plus.
  • 0-5 years of Electrical design engineering experience preferred.
  • EIT preferred or ability to obtain it. PE licensure is a plus.
  • Understanding of NEC, NFPA, and utility interconnection standards.
  • Experience with distributed generation projects, knowledge of permitting processes and interconnection requirements, exposure to battery energy storage systems and microgrid projects preferred.
  • Experience in CYMCAP, PVCASE, AutoCAD, PVSyst. ETAP preferred.
