As a Collections Operator, youll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services - uninterrupted.

Based in Auburn, CA, youll have the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of the collection system on an assigned shift. Youll contribute to the success of our program with efficient preventive maintenance and effective solutions to challenges that may arise in municipal facilities.

Youll operate and maintain equipment including but not limited to backhoe, aquatech, and dump truck; all equipment used in trenchwork, cleaning and clearing sewer lines; install new lines, adjust manhole covers, and frame replacement; inspect, repair, and maintain flowing conditions, patch streets and sidewalks; erect and repair fences; complete work orders and field complaint forms; and perform other duties as required. Most importantly, youlltake actionto ensure the safety, health and well-being of you and your team.

To follow contract requirements, it is our expectation that all Collection Operators receive and/or maintain all applicable licenses necessary for their positions,to maintain employment with the Company. Accordingly, we expect you to obtain a Grade 1 Collections Operator certification, issued by CWEA, no later than 1 year from the start date. Jacobs will provide funding for courses and exam fees. Obtaining/maintaining this license is a condition of employment, and if you fail to obtain/maintain this license your employment with the Company will be necessarily terminated.

* Possess valid Class B Commercial Drivers License

* Knowledge of collection systems and tools, equipment, materials used to maintain and repair system

* CWEA Collections Operator Grade 1

Ideally, Youll Also Have:

* Approved courses in collection systems

* Safe work practices

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
