The Boeing Company is currently seeking a senior level Phantom Works Mission Systems Communications Architect to join the Phantom Works team located in Berkeley, MO .

This position is for a senior engineer to be a project manager (with direct support to the program manager) for a major development effort for the F/A-18 Advanced Mission Systems program. This position has high visibility with customers and senior Boeing leadership. This position will require the individual to be able to work with and lead a diverse team of engineers and business partners, to be able to manage a complex program, to help develop proposals, interpret Statements of Work (SOWs), and decompose work tasking across multiple teams. The ideal candidate should be energetic, familiar with mission systems development, have good communication skills and diverse avionics and mission systems understanding. This position is in a closed/secured working environment and security clearances would be required.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
• Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
• Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
• Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
• Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
• Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
• Makes recommendations for technology investments.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

• An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Level 4 : 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 7+ years of work-related experience with a Masters OR 3+ years of work-related experience with a PhD

Typical Education for Lead Level:

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:

Level 4: $119,850 - 162,150
