DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

Our client, a leader in technology innovation, is seeking a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. As a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of the engineering team supporting vital research projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for infrastructure automation, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

Location: On-site

Pay Range: 45-55 W2 Pay Rate

What's the Job?

• Architect, deploy, and maintain on-premise self-hosted GitHub Actions runners for container orchestration.
• Design and implement secure and scalable infrastructure for both internal-only and external-facing repositories and workflows.
• Manage physical systems including OS installation, hardware setup, and network configuration.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, network issues, and CI/CD pipeline failures.
• Develop automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code to streamline deployment and maintenance.

What's Needed?

• Proven experience with GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, and CI/CD pipeline design.
• Strong knowledge of container orchestration tools, preferably Nomad (experience with Kubernetes is also valuable).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Deep understanding of Linux system administration and networking.
