Analog/RF IC Design Engineer

Insight Global is looking for an experienced Analog/RF IC Design Engineer to support an expanding team focused on high-speed, high-frequency integrated circuit design. This role will be responsible for full lifecycle IC design, from concept through successful production release. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Bipolar and BiCMOS technologies, as well as experience with RF high-speed design and CMOS conversion.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Lead the design process from cradle to production release, ensuring successful market introduction.

- Work on MicMOS/Bipolar IC design with a focus on RF high-speed applications.

- Support high-speed analog and RF design, including S-parameters and signal integrity tools (HFSS, EMX, or ADS).

- Collaborate on CMOS conversion projects with a strong emphasis on Bipolar design.

- Work with lab equipment to evaluate, debug, and test prototype designs.

- Provide guidance on lab capabilities and test methodologies.

- Ensure design integrity and manufacturability, reducing particle contamination in fabrication.

Skills and Requirements

- MSEE with 7+ years of experience in high-frequency, high-speed analog IC design.

- Deep expertise in Bipolar and BiCMOS IC technologies.

- Proven track record of taking at least 1-2 IC products from concept to mass production.

- Experience with high-speed analog/RF building blocks, including: Gbps equalizers, CDRs, PLLs, laser drivers

Transimpedance amplifiers, ADCs/DACs, LNA, PA

- Strong proficiency with electromagnetic simulators (HFSS, EMX, ADS) and EDA tools.

- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (scopes, signal/pattern generators, spectrum analyzers, VNAs).

- Excellent debugging and testing skills for prototype evaluation.

- Strong communication and attention to detail. - Experience in mixed-signal IC design.

- Background in optical and RF technologies (Preference for Optical but will accept RF).

- Knowledge of MAX Linear, Marvell, SemTek, ADI, Maxim, or

- Experience in system-level design and integration.
