Job Title: Project Manager
Job Description
As the Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage construction projects to ensure their successful completion within scope, budget, and schedule. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate resources, monitor progress, and resolve issues as they arise. Your role is essential in delivering high-quality construction projects that meet client expectations and contribute to the overall success of the organization's construction projects in the Con West region.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project objectives, budget, and timelines.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
- Help manage and mentor a team of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
- Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Communicate regularly with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, regulations, and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve project deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and change orders, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage project finances, including tracking expenses and monitoring project costs to ensure profitability.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including mentoring and developing team members.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager and perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of five years of federal construction management experience.
- Familiarity with federal construction processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- OSHA 30-hour certification required.
- Active CQM certificate required with demonstrable Quality Control Management experience.
- Proficient in scheduling using Primavera P6.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Ability to manage medium-scale projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Construction Health & Safety Technician certification desired.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
- Ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree in Construction Management or related field.
- Knowledge of construction industry regulations, codes, and standards.
- Mechanical Project Management experience.
- Ideally has previously worked at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base.
Work Environment
The Project Manager will be responsible for providing oversight on projects throughout Kings Bay Submarine Base in Kings Bay, GA. Ideally, this candidate will be local and/or has plans to stay locally in the Kingsland, GA area. There is the ability to pay for per diem and travel due to the backlog of work in the SE region.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.10 - $67.31/hr.
