- Tour and inspect small or large, complex job sites to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. Report concerns to safety management.
- Document safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures, and recommend corrective procedures. Ensure cited issues are corrected within the designated timeframe.
- Maintain all site-required documentation related to safety issues, including accident reports, inspection reports, and training logs. Use information to track trends and injury rates. Develop current and future loss control strategies and implement corrective actions to prevent similar incidents.
- Provide emergency response to employees as needed. Participate in and document information for the investigation of accidents and injuries, and submit data to regulatory agencies as required.
- Contribute to updating training materials and coordinate and facilitate employee training as necessary.
- Direct the workflow of less-experienced safety employees.
- Exercise independent judgment with respect to disciplinary actions for safety violations and implement procedures to correct similar future violations. Consult with the manager on decisions that significantly impact the company.
- Bachelors degree in Safety, Health, or Environmental Applied Sciences or related discipline preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in a related field, including employee training experience.
- Certifications in CPR and First Aid preferred.
- OSHA 10hr, OSHA 30hr, OSHA 40hr training preferred.
- OSHA 500, CHST, or ASP certifications preferred.
- Excellent working knowledge of health and safety management systems; OSHA CFR 1926 standards or the state construction safety regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of safety operating processes and procedures.

This position will be on-site 5 days a week. Project site hours can start as early as 6 AM to 4 PM.
