About the Role

The Supply Chain Cost Analyst at PacSci EMC is crucial in achieving optimal pricing and cost savings within the Defense Industry sector. This role demands a candidate with a solid analytical and financial analysis background, as well as a deep understanding of cost accounting standards relevant to defense contracts. Responsibilities include conducting detailed cost and price evaluations of proposals, analyzing supplier financials to mitigate default risks, and ensuring adherence to government regulations and company policies.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of cost accounting, familiarity with government contracting rules, and the skill to analyze financial data to guide negotiation tactics and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Ensuring clear, proactive communication and coordination within internal teams throughout the estimating process to meet deadlines.

+ Managing supplier/subcontractor proposal coordination and administration with minimal oversight, ensuring pricing aligns with agreed-upon terms.

+ Oversees subcontract administration by working with the purchasing and contracts teams to confirm that the agreed-upon prices align with the established terms and conditions.

+ Performing thorough cost and price analyses of supplier proposals in compliance with FAR, DFARS, and CAS, identifying cost reduction opportunities and assessing the reasonableness of costs.

+ Performing rate audits of suppliers in accordance with applicable government regulations which includes FAR, DFARS, CAS.

+ Serving as the primary contact for resolving pricing issues, subcontract closures, contract renewals, and follow-up negotiations with suppliers/subcontractors.

+ Performing should cost analysis to inform negotiation strategy (opens/exceeds/accepts) recommendations.

+ Handling supplier/subcontract documentation in line with company policies, procedures, and government regulations.

+ Assisting with contract negotiations and strategy development, leveraging cost and price data for subcontract terms.

+ Creating reports and presentations to summarize analyses and recommendations for management.

+ Collaborating with finance, engineering, and project management teams to understand technical requirements and cost implications.

+ Keeping abreast of market trends, cost drivers, and best practices in cost/price analysis.

+ Evaluating supplier performance and financial health to mitigate risks to project timelines, performance, and potential financial loss.

+ Recommending payment terms based on assessments of supplier financial health.

+ Being available to travel up to 25% as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

+ 3+ years of experience in cost analysis, pricing, or a related field within the Defense Industry.

+ Proficiency with cost accounting standards and experience applying them in a government contracting environment.

+ Strong skills in financial analysis and data interpretation.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and experience with cost modeling tools.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Effective communication and collaboration skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Advanced degree or professional certification in a relevant field, such as Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM).

+ Experience with cost-volume-profit analysis and forecasting.

+ Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

+ Demonstrated ability to influence and drive cost-saving initiatives.

**Bonus or Equity**

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

**Pay Range**

The salary range for this position in local currency is 89200.00 - 165600.00

**Is this role subject to ITAR?**
