Job DescriptionAECOM has an immediate need for an Estimator to work on several projects, primarily related to our Building and Places practice. This is a full-time position for employment in our Kansas City, MO office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Introduced to the Company's estimating systems and processes.
- Introduced to estimating terminology, measures, concepts, and principles for preparing estimates.
- Exposed to various processes, project actions, and assumptions that may impact estimates.
- Gathers, calculates, and compiles data for use in developing all types of estimates.
- Performs the routine aspects of estimating assignments.
- Assists senior specialists in performing various estimating functions as required.
- Exposed to drawings, specifications, work breakdown structures, charts of accounts, published and internal data used in preparing estimates.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited university or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of MCACES/MII is a plus.
- Knowledge of Success Estimator is a plus.
- Knowledge of Revit and Excel.
- Knowledge of On-Screen-Takeoff or Construct Connect is a plus.
- Experience with construction management means, methods, and sequences.
- Experience with Estimating or Quantity Surveying.
- Experience with the interpretation of drawings, specifications, Requests for Proposals, and contracts is essential.
