Structural Steel Fabricator and Erector-Project Manager

Established structural steel fabrication and erection company (in business since 1984), located in Fontana, CA, is seeking a Project Manager/Field Coordinator who is able to read, understand and manage the flow of architectural and structural drawings, manage and coordinate shop fabrication as well as manage and coordinate the field erection to ensure that all projects are completed efficiently and on time. Our main shop is located in Fontana, CA but our projects are located throughout SoCal in LA, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego Counties, intermittent driving to job sites for proper project management will be necessary. Salary to commensurate with experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Minimum 5 years experience in shop and field management in structural steel is required.
Knowledge of LA City Quality Control is required.
Knowledge in building codes and standards in structural steel.
Ability to constructively participate in negotiations and disputes resolution.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, General Contractors, and shop/field workers.
Must understand and manage the flow of architectural and structural drawings
Manage project budgets, RFIs, change orders, submittals and correspondence.
Ability to meet the requirements of productivity, quality, customer service and safety.
Working knowledge of Adobe PDF/Microsoft Windows/Excel/Word.
Must be dependable and present a professional image.
Ability to carry out assignments independently.
Must have good DMV record.
