Fire Alarm Technician**

**Job Description**

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures, referring to technical manuals and modification notices to repair equipment. You will service, troubleshoot, and install Fire & Life Safety systems from various manufacturers, including SimplexGrinnell. Your role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational product manuals to ensure proper installation and maintenance of systems.

**Responsibilities**

+ Exhibit excellent customer service by consistently communicating with district staff and customers to ensure satisfaction.

+ Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through smart devices.

+ Adhere to safety regulations and obtain customer signature upon completion of service calls.

+ Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation and help train or mentor service team members.

+ Provide recommendations and solutions to improve facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.

+ Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

**Essential Skills**

+ Three years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.

+ Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.

+ Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.

+ Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.

+ Ability to work in unusual positions such as climbing ladders and working within ducts and crawl spaces.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.

+ Overnight travel may be required.

+ Demonstrate a high level of customer service.

+ Maintain truck inventory for timely response to customer needs.

+ Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.

+ Possess a valid drivers license and a driving record that meets company requirements.

**Work Environment**

You will work in existing commercial buildings, inspecting and maintaining fire alarm systems. The role requires flexibility in working hours and may involve working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or high-lift equipment.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Horsham, Pennsylvania.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
