Site Superintendent JFK Airport Aviation Projects

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Superintendent to oversee daily on-site construction operations at JFK International Airport. This role involves managing field activities, coordinating trades, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring quality control across aviation infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy civil or aviation construction and a strong ability to lead field teams in a fast-paced, high-security environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities, including scheduling, logistics, and coordination of subcontractors and trades.
+ Enforce safety standards and ensure full compliance with OSHA and Port Authority of NY & NJ regulations.
+ Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure work aligns with contract documents and design specifications.
+ Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, manpower logs, and safety records.
+ Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve field issues efficiently.
+ Provide regular updates to project management and assist with punch list completion, project closeout, and turnover processes.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
+ Minimum of 2 years of construction site experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or coordination role.
+ Familiarity with airport construction or public infrastructure projects.
+ OSHA 30 certification required.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management platforms such as Procore and Bluebeam.
+ Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in heavy civil and aviation infrastructure projects.
+ Ideal for candidates with 25 years of experience looking to grow into a leadership role on high-profile transportation projects.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position based at JFK International Airport, with a MondayFriday schedule. The role offers hands-on involvement in major infrastructure improvements and requires close coordination with field teams and project stakeholders. Familiarity with digital tools such as Procore and Bluebeam is essential for daily reporting and communication.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
