Shift Welder**
**Job Description**
Join a dynamic team providing fabricated structural steel products and services for the construction industry throughout the Midwest. As a Shift Welder, you will position, layout, fit-up, cut, and weld in accordance with shop drawings, primarily focusing on Flux Core welding on thick steel for beams and frames. This role involves welding off of blueprints and occasional assembly and grinding tasks.
**Responsibilities**
+ Position, layout, fit-up, cut, and weld according to shop drawings.
+ Perform Flux Core welding on thick steel for beams and frames for skyscrapers in Chicago.
+ Weld off of blueprints.
+ Execute some assembly and grinding when needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in Flux Core welding.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience in structural welding and fabrication.
+ Minimum of 1 year of Flux Core welding experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 5 years of MIG welding experience.

**Work Environment**
Work in a large, heavy industrial facility designed for structural welding. The environment is cleaner than typical heavy structural welding areas but may still be a bit dirty. The first shift runs from 4:30 am to 3 pm, Monday through Thursday, with opportunities to volunteer for additional shifts after the training period, including Friday shifts of 5 or 10 hours weekly.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
