POSITION SUMMARY:
- This position requires the individual to reside within Brevard County, Fl, with onsite responsibilities*
The Physician Contract Analyst delivers support on negotiations, analysis, and administration regarding Physician contracts across Health First's Integrated Delivery Network (IDN). The Physician Contracting Analyst will collaborate with legal, Finance, and operational teams regarding physician contracts and their alignment with Health First's mission and goals, regulatory requirements, and reimbursement strategies. Additionally, the Physician Contract Analyst will thoroughly oversee all language within contracts and ensures that records are kept, monitoring performance against contractual terms, while providing data-driven insights to support decision-making related to alignment, compensation models, and provider network strategies.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES
- Maintains records of physician contracts, including terms, conditions, and compliance requirements.
- Assists in the negotiation of physician contracts, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
- Manages the process for contract renewals and amendments, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
- Ensures adherence to contractual terms and conducting audits to identify potential issues.
- Supports in the development of new contract templates and policies and the development and maintenance of physician compensation models.
- Conducts research and analysis to ensure physician compensation is at fair market value, while comparing physician compensation and contract terms to industry standards.
- Gathers and analyzes data related to physician contracts and compensation.
- Prepares reports on contract performance, compliance, and other relevant metrics.
- Serves as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding physician contracts.
- Collaborates with other departments, such as legal, finance, and physician relations, to ensure smooth contract processes.
- Keeps up to date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in physician contracting.
Work Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, Finance, or relevant field.
- Work Experience: Three (3) years' experience in contract management, healthcare contracting, or physician compensation.
- Licensure: None
- Certification: None
- Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping.
- Long periods of computer time or at workstation.
- Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
- May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
- Workspace may vary from open to confined.
- May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
