Position Overview
EA is seeking a Project Manager with demonstrated experience in site characterization and remediation to join our growing team of environmental professionals. In this role, you will lead complex environmental projects from initial assessment through remediation, ensuring regulatory compliance, technical excellence, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple environmental investigation and remediation projects across a variety of sites (e.g., federal, state, municipal, and commercial).
Develop and implement work plans for Phase I/II ESAs, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and site remediation.
Oversee field activities including sampling, drilling, and remediation system installation and operation.
Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, and field staff.
Serve as primary client contact and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, budgets, and regulatory submittals.
Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in environmental site assessment, site characterization, and remediation.
- Proven project management experience, including scope, schedule, and budget control.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, state brownfields programs).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (current or ability to obtain prior to field work).
- Professional registration or certification (PE, PG, PMP) is a plus.
- CT Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) and/or Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) certification is a plus.
- OSHA 30-hour safety training for construction is a plus.
Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.

Pay Range
$70,000-$110,000 USD
The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
