Job Purpose

The Material Handling & Quality Assurance Specialist ensures the seamless and compliant flow of materials and supplies, from procurement through distribution, while upholding the highest standards of quality across all local operations. This role is crucial in minimizing risk, driving efficiency, and ensuring that our transformative technology consistently meets FDA requirements and internal quality benchmarks, ultimately supporting superior patient outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

+ Manage procurement of consumables and spare parts-

+ Prepare and perform Incoming Inspection Quality review and release of received goods

+ Execute all local Quality Management activities in compliance with FDA Requirements

+ Ensure compliance assurance and monitoring related activities on site,

+ Provide product and processes quality data analysis and trends, identify improvement activities

+ Provide comprehensive quality assurance oversight for all activities on-site

+ Suppy quality data, trends and conclusions to Artidis AG Basel

+ Lead nonconformities and failure investigation whenever components, assemblies or product specifications are not met

+ Act as Quality approver for local on-site change controls, deviations and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), and support Quality Control (QC) related activities

+ Complete the evaluation and detailed investigation on the observed local nonconformities

+ Support external quality inspections and execute the strategy for internal site audits

+ Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, efficiency, and effectiveness

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is an intuitive and fast learner with a strong sense of situational awareness and a solid understanding of operational and regulatory boundaries. They are quick to grasp complex processes, proactive in identifying what requires escalation, and confident navigating both structured procedures and evolving environments. Their ability to balance personal accountability with compliance makes them well-suited for a dynamic, fast-moving start-up like ARTIDIS AG.

+ Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field

+ Foundational experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, ideally within a medical device or diagnostics environment

+ Sound knowledge of ISO 13485:2016 and an understanding of FDA Quality System Regulation (21 CFR Part 820)

+ Hands-on experience in incoming inspection and release of goods, with familiarity in quality review and documentation practices

+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and identify trends for continuous improvement

+ Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up or scale-up environment

+ Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and audit readiness

+ Proficiency with quality systems and document control platforms; working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems is a plus

+ Experience supporting or participating in internal audits and external inspections

+ Six Sigma, Lean, or similar continuous improvement certification is a plus

+ Project management exposure or certification (e.g., CAPM) considered an asset

+ Fluency in English, written and spoken
