Key Responsibilities Interact with project partners such as clients, contractors and stakeholders. Read and interpret project plans and specifications. Follow applicable QA / QC procedures. Measure, calculate, and determine all quantities of assigned work and / or installed materials. Report any deficiencies in the contractors work to the Project Engineer or Project Manager Prepare Daily Inspector's Reports using various software such as Word, AASHTOWare Project (AWP) and Appia Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Minimum Two years of experience in Transportation Construction Inspection and Engineering (Preferred but not expected with the entry level) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Computer skills including use of e-mail, Excel AND Word Certifications and Training : ODOT Prequalification in ODOT Inspector / Engineer Categories (Preferred) NICET Highway Technician I, II; III or IV (Preferred) ACI Field Technician Level 1 (Preferred) Ohio Aggregate Level 1 (Preferred) OSHA 10 Hour or 30 Hour (Preferred) Valid Driver License Benefits 401(k) w / company match Health insurance w / HSA option, Vision, Dental, Life Flexible schedule Paid time off Referral program Tuition reimbursement Catalytic Coaching - Employees draft a development plan aimed at improving contributions in their current job and increasing the potential for other opportunities.
