Job Summary/Basic Functions
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Capital Outlay Project Manager! This position provides project management for assigned projects including both capital and non-capital projects including planning, design, and construction phases.
Required KSAs/Competencies/Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of general architecture/engineering disciplines
Considerable knowledge of construction administration
Considerable knowledge of state, federal codes laws and regulations applicable to the construction of public buildings
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written skills
Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects of varied size and complexity
Ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations and organizations
Required Experience:
Considerable practical experience and knowledge of facility design and construction management
A valid driver's license
Additional Considerations:
Experience and familiarity with the Commonwealth of Virginia's Construction and Professional Services Manual
Experience and familiarity with the Virginia Uniform State Building Code
Experience and familiarity with the erosion and sediment control and stormwater regulations
Experience and familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD)
Experience and familiarity with Primavera or similar scheduling software
