Electrical Construction Project Engineer

Join the team and take part in amazing projects across the region! Project Engineer's provide support to each project with design tracking and coordination of all aspects of construction. Employees | Value | Execution | Relationships MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS One year experience in the electrical contracting/construction field. High school diploma or equivalent (GED). KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience mentoring and managing others. Business development and heavy client interaction experience. Experience in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc). Professional demeanor with ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors and others. Strong organizational, record-keeping and follow-up skills. Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player. Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures. Perform duties in a professional manner and appearance. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the team to plan and organize a project. Assist the team in preparing project estimates, scope letters, and presentation of proposals to clients. Interact with vendors to secure best project pricing. Assist in the preparation of all change orders on the project. Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project. Maintain liaison with prime client and A/E to facilitate construction activities. Monitor construction activities in conjunction with the onsite Foreman and General Superintendent to ensure project is being built on schedule, and within budgets. Represent company/ project in meetings with client, subcontractors, etc. Assist the PM in preparation of monthly costing reports. Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/ expenses) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with clients.
