Project Scheduler Job Description This role involves creating, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project timelines for construction projects. The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of the project plan, including activities, resource allocation, work breakdown structures, and milestones, ensuring timely completion within budget. Collaboration with project managers, lead field personnel, and other stakeholders is essential to identify and mitigate potential delays and proactively address schedule challenges. Responsibilities Develop baseline schedules and track project progress. Identify schedule conflicts and propose corrective actions. Create comprehensive project schedules using scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Assist in breaking down project scope into tasks and define logical sequencing of activities. Estimate activity durations, resource requirements, and perform critical path analysis. Integrate electrical schedules into the general contractor's overall project timeline. Conduct regular site visits to assess and update project progress against the schedule. Collect and analyze progress data to identify potential schedule deviations. Update schedules based on actual progress and communicate changes to stakeholders. Perform schedule impact analysis for change orders. Identify critical path activities and potential bottlenecks. Proactively assess schedule risks and develop contingency plans. Prepare and present schedule reports to project management and stakeholders. Communicate schedule updates and facilitate schedule review meetings. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and procurement teams. Essential Skills Proficiency in Construction Scheduling Software. Experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Strong project scheduling skills. Ability to perform critical path analysis and resource requirement estimation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to integrate electrical schedules. Experience in schedule impact analysis for change orders. Strong communication and reporting skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Work Environment Work is based out of Milwaukee or Madison. The role involves collaboration with various teams and requires regular site visits to monitor progress.
