POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in manufacturing our play products. This position promotes continuous improvement through the use of lean manufacturing principles and instilling a culture of idea sharing and implementation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continuously monitors and evaluates the department's current status; develops solutions to root-cause problems, makes plans to address issues and effectively communicates needs
- Develops daily staffing plan, based on needs and demands in order to optimize workflow for the day
- Reviews production goals with the team and is responsible for achievement of daily production goals
- Maintains standard work for operations and/or positions
- Supports team members performance improvement through coaching and, when needed, constructive feedback and performance management
- Managing for daily improvement through utilization of QCDSM (safety, quality, cost, delivery, morale, environmental) boards
- Monitors production metrics to identify patterns
- Effectively communicates concerns to cross-functional teams and departments to resolve challenges and to continually meet expectations in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale.
- Work closely with their engineering counterpart to help determine projects and priorities within the department
- Ensure timely delivery of product to our internal and external customers.
- Ensure ISO procedures are followed, and requirements are met, including time and production records are properly maintained
- Utilize kaizen methodologies to continuously improve productivity and quality.
- Contributes to MDI efforts by identifying opportunities, proposing solutions, and supporting implementation
- Promote worker safety by fostering a culture of awareness through proper training, ensuring access to safety equipment, and encouraging open communication about potential hazards

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree; and/or 3 years related experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a production setting/manufacturing environment experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience leading a team of employees, including developing and coaching employees
- Exposure and understanding of lean manufacturing principals
- Experience in ERP applications - Microsoft D365, preferred
The starting target salary range is $65,000 - $75,000, depending upon qualifications and experience. This position qualifies for a shift differential of $250/per pay period (26 pay periods per year). Expanded pay ranges may be available for growth and advancement opportunities. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for a profit-sharing opportunity.
