Summary
The Assistant Superintendent supports the Site Superintendent in managing field operations throughout the delivery of a project, from start to final completion and closeout. This role is responsible for assisting in directing the field in alignment with our core values and expectations set on a job-by-job basis. Working under the guidance of the Site Superintendent and in partnership with the Project Manager, the Assistant Superintendent helps to develop, manage, and execute the job plan for assigned projects.
Primary Duties
- Support the Superintendent in leading jobsite operations.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the project safety plan.
- Help coordinate daily activities of field personnel and subcontractors.
- Support field staffing needs in coordination with the Field Operations Manager.
- Assist with the development of field staff including foremen, carpenters, and laborers.
- Monitor work progress and support the maintenance of the overall project schedule.
- Contribute to maintaining a strong jobsite culture in line with company core values.
- Participate in daily site meetings and regular interactions with the project team to provide updates and evaluate progress and risk.
- Support pre-construction and other project acquisition efforts as needed.
- Gain and apply knowledge of all divisions and phases of construction work.
- Help gather input from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors regarding schedule and execution of work.
- Assist with optimizing field crew productivity and managing material usage.
- Develop an understanding of production rates and unit costs for self-performed work.
- Maintain daily logs and site documentation.
- Assist with regular communication with architects, engineers, and owner representatives.
- Gain knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and compliance standards governing the project.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a drug test and comply with our company vehicle safety program.
- Ability to work effectively with teams and support leadership in alignment with core values.
- Strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute to team success.
- Capable of using sound judgment and maintaining efficiency under pressure.
- Previous experience or exposure to data center or MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) projects is a plus.
The full salary range for this position is $80,000 to $115,000. This position is eligible for a target bonus.

Note: Sick leave accrues at one (1) hour for every 30 hours worked. Accrual for sick leave is capped at 240 hours. At the end of each calendar year, you will be allowed to carry over accrued and unused sick leave up to 240 hours. You will not begin accruing sick leave until you drop below the accrual cap.
