Commercial Carpenter - up to $37/hr**
**Job Description**
As a Commercial Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing various general carpentry duties related to commercial projects. You will work closely with a team of carpenters and a foreman to ensure high-quality construction and fit-out projects.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read and interpret blueprints to execute projects accurately.
+ Perform selective hand demolition as required.
+ Engage in rough wood carpentry tasks.
+ Complete millwork and finish carpentry with precision.
+ Hang drywall and perform taping, spackling, and finishing.
+ Execute metal stud framing with expertise.
+ Install ACT ceilings and acoustical ceilings efficiently.
+ Install doors, frames, and hardware with attention to detail.
+ Utilize hand and electric tools safely and effectively.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in framing techniques.
+ Experience with metal stud and acoustic ceiling installations.
+ Expertise in commercial carpentry and drywall applications.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with steel studs is highly desirable.
**Work Environment**
Work hours: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
Dress code: High-vis gear, jeans, hard hat, and safety boots
Project types: Primarily fit-outs with occasional new
construction
Team setup: Small groups with 12 carpenters and a foreman
Culture: Friendly, respectful, and cooperative
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr.
