The Preconstruction Manager is a key member of the project team, responsible for delivering trusted and high-quality preconstruction services to both internal and external stakeholders. This role plays a vital part in gathering, analyzing, and presenting data that helps guide project decisions from concept through bidding.
Responsibilities:
-Lead day-to-day execution of preconstruction services including feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed budgeting, value engineering, and comparative cost analysis.
-Prepare detailed pricing proposals using market trends, historical data, material costs, and subcontractor input to ensure accurate, competitive estimates.
-Work collaboratively with owners, architects, consultants, and internal teams during the design and preconstruction phases to smoothly transition projects into construction.
-Represent the company in client meetings, presentations, and interviews, supporting efforts to win new business.
-Manage and delegate tasks across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
-Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, clients, and team members.
-Support and mentor preconstruction team members through training and guidance.
-Contribute to maintaining existing client relationships while actively supporting new business development.
Job Requirements
-(5-7) years of experience
-Relevant degree or experience
-Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong skills in On-Screen Takeoff (OST) or similar, Bluebeam, and Adobe tools
-Solid understanding of building systems, construction drawings, and specifications
-Familiar with project scheduling, phasing, logistics, and geotechnical reports
-Knowledge of LEED standards and OSHA 30 certification preferred
-Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and a passion for construction in all aspects of the role.
-Positive, adaptable, and collaborative.
-Detail-oriented with strong time management and multitasking skills.
-Respectful, resilient under pressure, and a thoughtful problem-solver.
