Our client in Irwin PA is seeking a General Laborer to work in the Shape Room

Duties:

- Assist with daily operations in the shape room, including setup, operation, and maintenance of various machinery.

- Perform grinding, cutting, and other mechanical processes as directed by senior team members.

- Operate and maintain tools such as surface grinders, table saws, lathes, and mills in accordance with safety and quality standards.

- Assist in the measurement and inspection of parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, scales, etc.).

- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient production workflows.

- Support the maintenance and cleaning of machines and work areas to maintain safety and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

- High School Diploma

- Previous hands-on production experience in manufacturing or machining, with a basic understanding of shaping, grinding, or cutting tools.

- Knowledge of tools and equipment such as surface grinders, pedestal grinders, lathes (including HAAS, -Bridgeport, and Omni Turn), table saws, and drills.

- Familiarity with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, scales, etc.) and the ability to use them accurately for inspection and part measurement.

- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or technical drawings is a plus.

- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
