Our portfolio includes multifamily & mixed-use housing, higher education, corporate offices, and historic consulting. We are currently looking for a Registered Senior Project Architect with 8-10 years of experience working in this industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, motivated individual with experience in multifamily/mixed use housing and/or higher education project types.
In this role, the candidate will be expected to:
Seek creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develop appropriate technical and code research to support these solutions.
Be able to present technical knowledge in client meetings.
Take on planning and execution of projects from inception through completion, developing design and technical solutions throughout all phases of a project.
Prepare schematic design, design development, and construction documents, develop solutions, and work directly with internal team members and coordinate with external engineering team efforts.
Collaborate with team to ensure the project deliverables are coordinated, integrated and support the design concept and performance goals of the project.
Provides technical design input. Responsible for a project's technical design effort, subsequent detailed design development, project coordination and quality control efforts during all phases of project work, in close collaboration with Lead Designer.
Maintains awareness of evolving building technology and systems. Expected to be proficient in Revit and follow Continuum Revit standards and best practices.
Reviews shop drawings, material samples and CD's for conformance with design.
Performs construction administration duties (e.g. RFI's, RFP's, change orders, etc.)
Prepare reports and specifications; reviews completed reports, plans, cost estimates and calculations.
Executes applicable agency review analysis (accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.)
Maintains contact with clients, consultants, and contractors during all project phases, participating in marketing, client and owner presentations as required
Additionally, this candidate should have :
Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited Architecture program
Highly proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite required
