Compensation: Starting wage $18.75, adjusted based on experience

Job Summary:
The Terrain Park Foreman reports to Terrain Park Supervisor and Terrain Park Manager. This role implements daily leadership in the operations and maintenance of Terrain Park venues, providing an exciting and enjoyable experience for guests. This position is primarily for Pico Terrain Parks, but time will be split between Killington and Pico as needed.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for the organized daily opening and closing of each Terrain Park
Daily supervision of Park Crew
Delegate and distribute Park Crew amongst the various Terrain Parks to ensure a Terrain Park Staff presence to mountain guests
Assist Park Supervisor and Manager with short- and long-term design and layout goals
Train Park Crew on proper feature maintenance (raking, shoveling)
Responsible for all daily feature maintenance/inspection logs
Set example for Park Crew by practicing safe riding habits in the park and excellent customer service
Authority to make decisions on the snow regarding the opening, closing of a feature
Regular meetings with the Park Supervisor and staff for long- and short-term planning
Participate and contribute to daily Snow Plan/other operational meetings
Communicate nightly grooming needs to Supervisor/Manager and Terrain Park Grooming team
Assisting in the construction of boxes, rails, wall rides, etc. when necessary
Be a presence in the terrain park rain or shine
Functions as an ambassador of Killington Mountain, modeling and sharing the Killington culture with our guests and employees. Upholds the most professional image. Continually strives to exceed our guest's expectations and create memories for our guests and staff

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee daily activities of assigned Park staff and volunteer personnel
The job operates within the established parameters. The Terrain Park Foreman is accountable for all on hill staff actions. They can also decide when a park feature should be open, closed, or removed
Converses with park staff when they have made an error, as well as fills out park incident forms when an injury occurs
Positions overseen: Terrain Park Attendants
Scheduling and assigning work- Assigning work throughout the day involving but not limited to, raking, digging, flagging, painting and roping certain features
Training- On safety, tool usage, VOSHA topics
Disciplinary actions- verbal warnings/discussions as needed - further action should be handled with the support of the Supervisor and/or Manager
Basic Qualifications:
18 years of age or older
Valid US Driver's License
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work in mountainous terrain: frequent walking/hiking up and down uneven terrain in all weather conditions (heat, cold, humidity, rain, wind, sleet, and snow)
Ability to work in noisy environments (hearing protection provided)
Ability to frequently lift, carry, and hike with upwards of 50 pounds of tools and equipment, as well as all types of natural debris commonly found in the woods
This is a strenuous job - ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, pull and stand for long periods of time is required
Must be able to lift and carry objects of 50lbs
Flexibility with scheduling - this position works weekends and holidays
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Critical thinking/problem solving skills: Ability to make decisions work through various operational challenges
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Ability to receive criticism and other feedback from guests and coworkers
Hardworking team player with ability to take initiative with limited supervision
Ski and/or snowboard at an advanced level in all possible conditions
Ability to ski and/or snowboard while carrying tools and equipment
Strong understanding of Freestyle Terrain and risk management best practices
Ability to work outside on mountainous terrain in all weather conditions
Qualifications
Preferred Experience and Skills:
1+ years of terrain park building and maintenance experience
Experience operating snowmobiles in a resort setting
Ability to use freestyle terrain features at an advanced level is beneficial but not required
Strong understanding of freestyle skiing/snowboarding culture and industry trends
Knowledge of proper operation of various power tools and other hand-held equipment
Personal Attributes:
Ability to work efficiently individually and with a team
Ability to follow specific directions to complete tasks
Willingness to learn new skills and expand knowledge of trail building and maintenance
Ability to follow and enforce established policies and procedures
Good organizational and time management skills
Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage confidential information pertaining to operations, guest incidents, and employee incidents
Professional appearance - adheres to all grooming guidelines
