Assistant Superintendent

We are a growing commercial general contractor seeking a dependable and motivated Assistant Superintendent to join our field operations team. This is a traveling position based in Oklahoma, supporting project sites across the state. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to help ensure that construction projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Superintendent in daily job site operations, including site safety, coordination of subcontractors, and quality control.

  • Monitor project schedules, deliveries, and work progress to ensure timely completion of tasks.

  • Help enforce job site safety practices and OSHA compliance at all times.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and on-site personnel to resolve field issues.

  • Conduct job site walkthroughs to inspect work and maintain high standards of craftsmanship and cleanliness.

  • Maintain daily field reports, logs, photos, and site documentation.

  • Support punch list management and project closeout processes.

  • Travel to job sites across the state of Oklahoma as assigned (company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided).

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with a general contractor.

  • Understanding of construction documents, scheduling, and safety protocols.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites throughout Oklahoma (some overnight stays required).

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; construction-related education or certifications a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in retail, office, education, municipal, or light industrial construction.

  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and/or construction scheduling software.

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
